In our current world, the protection of cities and urban areas against fire and incident must be a priority. Rapid population growth, development of industrial towns around cities, small and large workshops, electricity and gas network, etc. are potential hazards to citizens. All these factors are a reminder that safety issues and fire incident prevention should be considered as a main priority in the basic programs of every governmental or private organization.

The most essential topic in fire safety program is increasing public awareness and public education. In this regard, Tehran Fire Department is the organizer of the 6th International Conference and Exhibition on Urban Fire Service and Safety and the host of all national and foreign fire departments, from 11 to 13 July 2024, in Tehran Olympic Hotel.

One of the main goals of this conference is the exchange of new scientific knowledge in the field of safety and firefighting. This conference will be held with the participation and contribution of the most prestigious and leading universities of Iran like Tarbiat Modares, Amir Kabir, Shahid Chamran, Khajeh Nasir, Shahid Beheshti, Tehran and Islamic Azad University, and high educated experts in this field.

Another goal of this conference is to make an exhibition for all knowledge-based companies and domestic manufacturers, in order to introduce their innovations and technical products to the visitors and participants. Actually, this would be a good opportunity to encourage these companies to localize the needs of fire departments. We hope that private and knowledge-based companies will cooperate well in this field so that in future, all urban safety equipment can be produced inside our country.
